Me gots…
Mini polka dot umbrella (my others are either broken or humongous `_`)
Jelly cupcake-shaped window clings =3
Lime green jelly headband (nice contrast w/ my hair)
$1.48 hat that matches a grape-purple sweater I own
…and…what else?
I think that’s about it before the really really cool stuff.
Which I had a really nice photo of, but I just accidentally and incredibly stupidly deleted it…oh well. -___-;
So um, is the plasticy red clothing/accessory thing a new trend now or something? Or am I just always spotting it because of that jacket? Anyway, I have yet another addition to that whole ensemble…a large purse to replace the old little one with the broken snaps…I mean, I’ll still keep that thing, but this big one I can use to carry everything for school.
One of the other things: 2 Lisa Frank $1 items. A shiny pen pouch for school (puppy and kitty in the movies design), and a stationery notecard set thing--the case looks like a wardrobe full of LF dresses, shoes, etc., and it contains a few punch-out paper doll-like cards in the shapes of some of those. Tres cute.
Last but not by ANY means least--a new set of Puppy in my Pockets. I’m not really collecting all of the new ones because now that I’m older I have too many better things to spend money on :P, and because the new ones are not as cool as the old ones. However, I have quite a few anyway. And today, I HAD to buy this set…because it has a Bedlington Terrier in it. I couldn’t believe it. I saw the little tassels on the ears and went, “Is that what I think it is?!?” Sure enough, I read the box and saw that they’ve tossed in some very unexpected breeds. I also saw a little white corded pup and said, “Komondor! :D” The most unusual others are probably the Briard and the Neapolitan Mastiff. (Still no Saluki, or mixed breeds, I think, or anything..>>)
Anyhow, the Bedlington’s name is Betty, which is pretty cute. She’s obviously my favorite of the new pups, along with Lola the Afghan and then I guess the Lhasa Apso (mine’s a slightly different color and came with the name Lady, but I prefer Clarissa, the name of the later one, so I’m gonna use that.) She reminds me of Peg, with the hair over her one eye and all.
Betty came with Heidi the German Pinscher (another unusual one, although since they’re all pretty much the same size she could also have passed for another Doberman), and Yogi the Flat-Coated Retriever--which is ALSO uncommon, though like most of these new ones, he doesn’t *really* look that way and could almost be any black dog…though then again, they are supposed to be puppies, so of course they’re gonna be a bit more similar than their adult forms and don’t have to look too much like anything, anyhow. XD But, point is, Heidi and Yogi are both adorable ones too and I’m glad they came with Betty.
Another thing-why do they seem to love giving the pups really short tails? It’s as if they’ve all been docked to an inch and a half or something. XD
Sooo, yeah. Really cute. Betty and her pals also came with a little plastic doghouse with a clear door and a roof that flips over to become a balcony. Teehee. I can display one of them in there. A couple others can room together in my old Littlest Pet Shop (another thing that’s gone downhill since the glorious bygone days when I was little and would go buying new toys from Bradlees every week!*) doghouse with the attached yard. :3
*This description fits just about everything nowadays. D: Including and especially Polly Pocket…tsk tsk tsk. *wishes to be able to shop at Bradlees one more time* ;-;
I also have this fantastic red vinyl/chrome swivel stool for my desk now (not a Target purchase-I never could find anything suitable from them):
It fits under the desk, which I had not thought possible. I have so much more space in my room now! No more bulky chairs! It feels open! And the thing is gorgeous (doesn't it remind you of a diner?!)! YES! I am such a satisfied customer! >3
AND I have decided that one piece of furniture I will DEFINITELY have in my house, is a gossip bench. (I finally learned the term for “those adorable combination seat and table/drawer thingies.”)
Sooo speaking of my house.
http://www.putfile.com/thestuffofmich has once more been updated with new photos (which generally happens biweekly.) Most of yesterday Dad and I spent installing the kitchen cabinets (with a country station playing on the radio alllll day XD). We loooove the way they look!
These two pics are good:

http://www.putfile.com/pic/7650445 I’ve got all manner of ideas for the whole house, including…
*A breakfast nook instead of a regular kitchen table, especially if I can find a particularly cute one
*A cactus garden in the flowerboxes, perhaps (hopefully that side of the house gets direct sunglight)
*The smallest of all possible beds for the bedroom xD (I want to be as minimalist as I can, when I can, & maximize storage space)
…and I’m formulating ideas for the living room, guest room, entrance, exterior, and bathrooms and all as well. Not that we’re going to change the little wc in the bedroom very much.
I’d love to have glass block somewhere because I love that, but I’m not sure where at the moment. I’ll also have to figure out the best place for my aquarium(s), but all such things will come much later. Right now it’s the very basic stuff we’re working on. Next up are the flooring, countertop, and windows, I think.
I swear, I love this new location. The town of Lake Como has 216 people (we’ll bump them up to 221.) It’s just…beautiful, all the rural scenery up there and all the quiet-and the empty roads. ;O We’re a pretty short drive to the bridge crossing into New York, and a quaint little town called Hancock, which has a small Grand Union and various other places you’d need, old-fashioned storefronts and some modern ones mixed in, like Rite Aid. According to Dad, the folks in that Rite Aid are far friendlier than the ones around here in central Jersey. :] My plan is to basically start life anew there...in a new place with new people who don't know yet who I am or where I come from...I'll be bringing my memories with me, but I don't need to bring my entire past.
Fresh start. Clean slate. Freedom to do & become whatever I want.
I do want to make an effort to get around and meet people. Seems the only thing to do in a small farm town like this, and plus, it's not exactly easy to find weirdos who share my passions or are what I'd be looking for in a friend (unless you go online), so I'm really hoping to be able to do that, and the only way may to be go looking 'round the area rather than my usual passive waiting for someone to bump into ME.
I can't tell yet if it's so perfect, that Fannie Flagg-esque, but I DO know I'm in love with the place.
Well all right, that’ll be it. Might as well not think about school too much, ‘cause who knows what’ll happen…the current semester is cool (ILOVEPROFESSORRUSSELL XDDD) but the guy from Kean hasn’t responded to all my questions about the library science yet…the local library’s taking an awfully long time getting the book I requested, too…but sometime this week I’m supposed to be able to go visit Spence, so yaaaayyyy!!…and, yeah. Fred has Psych now. Wonder what she'll have to say. XD Anyways, LOTS to do. ::signing off::
Hm, I've been leaving a lot of my entries unlocked lately. Guess I just don't care who sees my wondrous stuff... >33
