In sad news, the woman who I was watching NippyToes for has passed away after a long, valiant battle with cancer. I think she was only 45. She was a very cheerful, upbeat person who didn't allow life to get her down -- despite it all (and she went through a ton in her last few years). Thanks! It was sustained for a long time; lately its been a rollercoaster -- twiddle thumbs, work like a fiend, twiddle thumbs, 'OMG I don't have time even to eat!', twiddle thumbs, '10:00 -- is that am or pm?'... :P

Nothing extraordinary ... TSD Test, Motorcycle Test, Medical Tests, Gardening. There was the Vacation@Home thing this year. Hershey, Sesame Place, Brunswick Zone, Mini-Golf, Movies, Chuck-E-Cheese, Valley Forge, Independence Hall, Kids 6th BirthDay Party ... the Photo's on Flickr ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/mdmhvonpa/) are good!

sorry to hear about the loss. We lost the matron of honor at our wedding to cancer in her early fourties.

Hope life gets more balanced soon.

Yeah, I just played in a tournament a week ago, but only one 1 of my four games.

Next summer the Go congress is in the DC area, so Planning on heading down there
for a week or so.

It's been a few years now since Wendy passed away. Tough thing for her two sons
who were 12, and 14 I think at the time. But it is very young, and pretty unexpected
at that age. Makes you think about carpe diem all that much more.
