The coming of the Christ. The saving of all those who are faithful. The damning of all those unworthy to serve Him in eternal service. This is what a significant number of Christians believe will occur. (Maybe some Christians do, but you have misinterpreted a lot.) How can they believe that a being, a God perhaps, in all of its *infinite* wisdom ( Read more... )

For me, the inherently evangelical nature of Christianity is something that I have a problem with. When one is invited to accept Christ as their savior, there is always the other side if you decide not to - you're given an ultimatum. Accept Christ or face some kind of consequences. Rarely is this ever malicious in intent, but it is what results from such an invitation. When someone is made to feel guilty for not accepting what someone else believes... I simply can't agree with it. I much prefer the idea of believing what you believe in and letting others find their own way. Why do I feel like I was being mocked...A comment was all that was needed...Not a total breakdown of why what I said was wrong...I so didn't want that...Only an explanation, or a good conversation. Not a tearing down debate...T_T

I am truly sorry if you feel like I was mocking you. It would have been impossible for me to make only one comment. I thought it was a conversation. I truly did not think I had said anything ugly. If so, I apologize.

I know you didn't mean to be mean, but still, its a bit degrading to have something you said be edited more or less on a semi-serious/joking counter argument. Minus the argument...But dont sweat it, I know you're not a mean person by nature. And I just tend to think differently than most and take everything as an assault on myself.
