雅-MIYAVI- Tour 2012 "GANRYU"

Dec 31, 2012 15:51

On Wednesday night, stellawind and I went to Miyavi's show at Shibuya O-East!

We arrived at the venue a bit after doors. Our ticket numbers were in the eight hundreds, so we figured that we'd have to wait a bit to get into the venue. By the time we arrived they were actually just letting our numbers in, so it worked out well. Once we got inside, we managed to work our way closer to the front, before the crowd started packing in. We ended up in about the seventh row of people from the front.

The crowd was pumped as soon as Miyavi arrived on stage. He came on wearing floral pants, a white mesh shirt and a black jacket. He opened with "Ganryu" and then went right into "Strong". The crowd was pumped and immediately pressed forward, jumping around enthusiastically. As soon as he finished "Strong", Myv took his jacket off. He kept things going strong with songs like "Hell No" and "Ossan Ossan Ore Nanbo" (which I was pleased to see him perform).

After that, Miyavi slowed things down a bit so we could all take a break. He played songs like "Chillin' Chillin' Money Blues", "I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, And I Hate You" and "Moon". It was nice to relax a little after all the jumping around we'd just done.

Then, after chatting about his new album for a bit, Myv started a string of his new songs off with "Silent Anger". The special thing about this last stop on the tour was that Miyavi invited a bunch of the artists he collaborated with to make guest appearances at the show. So after "Silent Anger", Myv invited H Zett M on stage with him, so that they could perform "Pleasure". They played around a little bit, dueling piano and guitar, before launching into the song. Next, Miyavi invited "flamenco guitarist" Oki Jin onstage to perform "HA NA BI". Sadly, Agatsuma Hiromitsu couldn't make it to the concert, so the song was without it's wonderful shamisen part. It's still an awesome sounding song though.

Myv did a lot of MCs throughout the night (because he just loves talking to the audience). In one of them he teased Bobo about the amount of junk food he eats. He said something about him always eating Shin Ramen and something about him eating Pringles. During another MC, he started talking about bringing his fans together (like he usually does, cutie)  and he started asking foreigners in the audience where we were from. stellawind and I got to tell him that we were from America! There were also quite a few other fans from around the world, including places like Brazil, Greece, and Canada.

Then, Miyavi announced his Japan tour for next year! This tour was short (only four stops), but next year's tour is going to be a full length tour all over Japan. Myv mentioned that it had been a wonderful experience to visit so many beautiful countries, but that he was really happy to go on a Japan tour because it's been a while since he's done one. He told us that the first show is on 3/9, but he couldn't remember where the show was lol.

Miyavi also surprised us by announcing the release date for his new single "Ahead of the Light"! I can't remember the exact date, but I think it comes out it February. Then he played the song for us! It's another upbeat song and I enjoyed it!

Myv ended the show with "Day 1" and "Futuristic Love", two of my recent favorite songs. During "Futuristic Love", Myv had us all put our index fingers in the air and bop along to the song, so we could "be one". The song went on for a bit and then it was time for Myv to wrap up the show. He thanked us a left the stage.

Of course, then it was encore time! Miyavi brought out Kameda Seiji and Sakamoto Miu to perform "祈りを", which is a beautiful song. Then he livened things up again with "What's My Name". We yelled his name back at him, as usual. The last song was "Survive". It felt like all of the audience was jumping and singing with Myv. It was great! That was the end of the live, so Myv came over to both sides of the stage to say goodbye. He came down to the front of the stage to grab hands with the crowd in the front row. Then it was time for him to go. (There was no time for a second encore, probably because Myv spent so much time talking again. XD)

stellawind nd I got in line for goods, I bought the newest tour shirt. Then we used our drink tickets and headed out of the venue, stopping to take a picture of Myv's flowers on the way. (The Co-Miyavi gave him a cute Anpanman bouquet!)

I definitely had a lot of excess energy after the live. Miyavi is so good at getting the crowd pumped up. He's just the most precious and I adore him. Definitely want to get tickets for his next tour!
