And after all, you're my wonderwall.

Dan,

A.J. beat up Madsen and he's in the hospital with a broken leg. I'm at the end of my rope. Don't make it worse by having sex with Arianna, I can't handle that right now. Sam will be home soon.

Stay out of trouble,

Aunt Carly

I can respect that. I'm not going to listen to her, but I can respect her feelings towards the situation. "Aunt ( Read more... )

I got the job! I got the job I got the job I got the job, I win. I finally irritated the manager into submission, and he gave me the job to shut me up. Sure, it's not under the best of circumstances, but if you consider where I was before, this is bloody excellent.

I've been bouncing around the house ever since I got the call, and my neighbors are probably ready to hunt me down and burn me at the stake for all the loud music, but I can't help it. This is celebration people! Get over it.

And that would be the phone ringing.

"Hell-oooo." I sing songed as I picked up, not caring who was on the other line. It could be the bloody President and... well I might have a few unpleasant things to say to him, but other than that, no one can piss me off right now.

"Hey."Dan! Yay. Proof that nothing's going to go wrong today. I love this good mood I'm in. "Hi! I mean... hi." I put down the soda I had, deciding to forgo the sugar for the rest of the conversation ( ... )

""Hell-oooo. Hi! I mean... hi. Hang on."

"Okay."

Three greetings, that's a lot even for her. Arianna's having a pretty good day to say 'hello' that many times without stopping to add in anything else. She also has the radio turned up to a deafening level for a telephone conversation. I have a good opportunity to apologize for not calling her sooner, but I'm not entirely sure that she would hear it over the noise.

"Okay. Hello again. How's it going?"

That's four, and a question this time too. The music's faded, but she still sounds as excited as she did when she first answered.

"Good. I just wanted to call and see how you're doing."

I'm supposed to do that now that we're seeing each other. It's not like dating, we haven't gone anywhere yet, but I would imagine that "seeing" is almost as significant as being a boyfriend. They're similar, the only difference is that one involves more action.

I'll get there.

"Good. I just wanted to call and see how you're doing."

'I just wanted to call and see how you're doing'. Does this qualify as checking up on me, or something genuine? If I wasn't sugar high in a fantastic mood, this would be really something to obssess over. But since I am...

I don't care.

"I'm fantastic." I am. I so am. "I aggravated someone into actually giving me a job." This may not sound like achievement to him, but it completely is. "So I'm working at a bookstore now."

I climbed up on my counter, and took back my soda anyway. Damage is done, as far as I'm concerned. "So I'm sort of celebrating right now... kind of. What're you up to?" I grinned. He's probably studying and cutely frowning over a book or something.

I'm so goofy, but come on, would anyone be able to say I was wrong in thinking he might be doing that? I didn't think so.

"A bookstore?"

It's good to hear that she found a job. I've heard enough from Carly and Sam to know that it wasn't easy for her, not to mention her comments the other day about not being able to settle in on one thing. Arianna's having a difficult time figuring out what she wants to do with her life, this might help point her in the right direction. Although I might end up having to confess to Arianna that it's hard to picture her working in a book store. She's extremely energetic, and the guys in the one I go to always look half dead.

Come to think of it, one time when I went in, I mistook a sleeping old man for a dead one, and woke him up to make sure everything was alright. I had to stay out of the place for two weeks after that, when all I was trying to do was help somebody.

"So I'm sort of celebrating right now... kind of. What're you up to?""Not much. I'm thinking about hitting the books ( ... )
