Cageroom

Jordan woke inside the cage. He blinked as his vision cleared. Where was he? He rubbed his eyes and shook his head, his blue bandana shifting on his head slightly. He looked again and his breath caught in his throat as he realized where he was. In a cage, in the mall - trapped. He had been caught ( Read more... )

Tony reentered the cage room, he'd stepped out to speak with another militia asking if the training today had been canceled, Ryan had yet to be seen and they were almost all there. Tony had told the kid to relax, Ryan wasn't late yet and if they wanted to get started early on their excersizes, well, surely Ryan wouldn't mind. The kid had given him a wary half smile and wandered back outside, heading for the training ground ( ... )

Jordan had been inspecting the lock, searching for weak spots or other signs of how best to break this lock. When he heard the returning guard's footsteps, he lay down again pretending that he had just woken up, not testing the lock.

He chanced to look up at the guard, adjusting his blue bandanna, and nodded. Of course he was hungry. As he reached for the rationed TBar, he tried to judge the guard. Could he talk his way out with this one? Or would it be better to wait and hope he left and gave Jordan time to fiddle with that lock?

Tony nodded and stood up, pulling the TBar off of the crate next to his chair and breaking it in half in the package, opening it and handing him the half of it. "I suppose you'll get your other half later, s'not up to me," he said with a shrug, putting the other half in his pocket. Making a disgusted face he sighed, "Right, I'll be back with your water in a few, gotta go get a refill," he informed him, looking to the Stingray who was sleeping through it all. What made him sleep so soundly, chained to the outside of the cage that way? Had he fought at all last night? Tony had forgotten to ask Zero, the guard on duty this morning, as he'd found him half asleep and sent him straight home. Turning his back, Tony headed out into the Mall, straight for the mens rooms, carrying the empty water bottle with him. He was tempted to refill the thing with toilet water, but he knew the prisoners weren't the only ones drinking that water, and instead he maneuvered to get water into the bottle via the sink, not exactly an easy challenge.

Jordan started to eat the allotted half a TBar, before the guard left and he quickly shoved it in a pocket. Now, to attack that lock, or at least investigate it more than he had previously.

Jordan worked furiously; he only had a few minutes. How far could he get? Far enough. He tried to be quiet as he used his tools to inpsect and hopefully break the lock, for he did not want eithor the guard to hear or to wake the idiotic stingray beside him who would only cause trouble and annoyance.

Tony walked quickly back to the cage room, he'd been struggling to get water into the bottle and then some of it had come out kind of brown and smelly, as it sometimes did ever since the water had been turned back on, and though he wouldn't have normally cared since it was for prisoners, he also knew others would possibly be drinking from it. He had dumped the entire jug back out and started again, worrying that he'd been gone for too long, though what could happen to two guys chained up and in cages?

Entering the room Tony got his answer, the door was wide open and the Stingray was slumped over. Tony put the jug of water down and dashed back out into the Mall, he had to find Salene, or Siva, fast! Tony ran first to the City Leaders Office, finding it void of anyone, then headed upstairs, straight to the Cafe.
