Stolen from Ana!

1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Hmmmmmm. Lived with Mick and Chris Seneca? :D

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
It isn't likely.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Close to me? No, but I know of tons of people that did, seems like.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Luckily, no.

5. What countries did you visit?
I didn't leave this one. D:

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
A different car. Or glasses.

7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 2nd. The day Tim and I went to the Clash of the Titans: AC/DC vs. AC/DC match up at the Empire - our first date.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Keeping Tim from running away!

9. What was your biggest failure?
I had plenty. Strangely, the one that I remember the most is not winning the Sweet Tooth display competition. I was a wreck and beat myself up over it for being a worthless artist for WEEKSt. I took it SO HARD. I guess I was looking to it for a boost of confidence because I spent the few months previous feeling really self-conscious about my "art".

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Shawn made eggs over easy for a large group of people at the Porter camp this summer and 3 of us got salmonella poisoning. I was one of those three people. It was the only day I've ever had to call out sick at Casablanca to this day.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Team Fortress 2. SO GOOD. And actually, I think Tim may have been the one that bought it, not me.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Tim's. He's the most level-headed person I've ever dated, and puts up with a lot. I'll admit that I put up with a bit, too, but we're still learning so much about eachother. (:

Also, Mick and Chris Seneca. They were awesome and calm and kept me out of a lot of apartment related troubles by not bailing on me when they could have. Now they're awesome roommates!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I've been disappointed in a couple people this year, but eh. These things happen (:

14. Where did most of your money go?
Definitely food. I spend way too much on food.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I was pumped for months about meeting Skottie Young. But it never happened. I DID get to meet Jeff Lemire, Brian Wood, Chris Giarusso and a lot of other awesome comic creators though!

16. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Bed Intruder. Or Double Rainbow.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier!
ii. thinner or fatter? Probably fatter. Bicycling took some pounds off in the summer, but it certainly didn't keep them off. :D
iii. richer or poorer? Probably about the same. Because I have a major problem with impulse shopping.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Draw.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Nothing. As in, I wish I had done less of nothing, and been more productive!

20. How did you spend Christmas?
Spent Eve with my mum, brother and Brian Frost (mum's boyfriend). Brother Brian and I watched Love Actually and The Nightmare Before Christmas and read Strange Tales comics. Mum and Brian Frost made us french toast for breakfast and we hung around making storm trooper snowflakes while we waited for my niece to come over and open presents. Then we opened ours, and had a roast for dinner. Brother Brian and I came to my house to hang out with Tim, Mick and Nate Anaman. I think we played Naruto. (:

22. Did you fall in love in 2010?
I actually hate using the word love when it's not me telling someone that I do. It sounds corny and I find it cliche. I'm the type that believes it shouldn't happen to someone more than once, because it just seems like it takes away from it's meaning if it does. So I always deny that I ever have been, even though I have. And I hate to admit it now, but I totally did again. And I'm not ashamed of who it's with, I'm ashamed that I let myself get vulnerable enough to allow it to happen. It just means I now have the ability to get hurt. =.=

23. How many one-night stands?
Zilch!

24. What was your favorite TV program?
30 Rock, Venture Bros., and Parks & Recreation were new to me this year. They're all wonderful.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I'm pretty sure I hated him then, too. Haha
(Okay I guess "hate" is strong, but I don't like him in the least.)

26. What was the best book you read?
Koko Be Good by Jen Wang.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Lady Gaga! So behind with the times!

28. What did you want and get?
New low-top, Custom Converse All-Stars to replace the old ones!

29. What did you want and not get?
A different car. SOON!

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World! Or How To Train Your Dragon (did that come out this year?)

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 25, and I worked! But the day before people were over (: I even worked extra hours that day.

32. What's one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A CAR THAT PASSED INSPECTION. Hehe

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
I wore what I had. I don't think I actually bought any new clothes last year.

34. What kept you sane?
Not working at Hannaford kept me from going insane, does that count?

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Harrison Ford. I watched the entire Indiana Jones Trilogy at least 3-4 times last year. I watched the Star Wars Original Trilogy a couple of times, too. Not that he's new to my world or anything.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I was enraged every time I read about the Gay protesters that attended funerals of those that served and died at war. Especially because they go, even if the soldier was straight. The poor families that have to deal with that, to have to pay their last respects with those scumbags shouting irrelevant obscenities at them...grrrrr

37. Who did you miss?
My dad.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Zack Rohman! He's a super dude. (:

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.
I'll just go ahead and quote the best fortune cookie of MY LIFE, not just this year:
"Silence is a virtual. Especially Dinner time, from telemarketers."

Yes.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most
Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
