[There's just something about those nature shows, or it could just be that one about deer is on that attracted James' attention. Or at least part of his attention. He's got a few broom-like objects in front of him, and one on his lap. He's swishing his wand, speak out an odd Latin phrase very clearly]

Yeah, but usually you've just got to concentrate that little bit more. It worked on the toothbrushes, it should on just a broom! [He sighs, tapping it uselessly with his wand] You didn't get your wand when you got in, did you?

Could be the size difference? [Shakes his head.] I didn't. Maybe putting the spell on it a section at a time?

Maybe. [He sets it down on the table in the middle of the room, pointing his wand at it and speaking the incantation as clearly as he can, flicking his wand in just the right way. The broom shivers, then jerks. James slips his wand back in his pocket, a smile fighting its way onto his face] Would you like to try it?

[Ponders a moment and then grins.] Could always give it a shot. In here?

Let's just see if we can get it up first. Do you fly? [James grins back, stepping back from the broom to let him try]

Seeker for Gryffindor since my first year. [Bragging to his father~

Harry gets to his feet and moves closer to the broom, calling it up like they did in their first lessons.]

Since first year? Things have changed around the castle then! [It should work this time. James always does his best work when others are watching]

They were just looking for a good Seeker and I did something reckless and caught a Remembrall a Slytherin had thrown. Professor McGonagall caught me and took me to the captain of the team.

Minnie's still around?! [He laughs, too happy to be hearing about this] Has she still got her bun?

[Shakes his head a little, looking slightly sheepish] Well, good on you, mate. I didn't make Chaser until second year.

[Nods with a grin.] Yeah, she's Head of the house still.

Thanks, barely lost a game since. [Concentrates on getting the broom up, successful?]

Quidditch champions yet again, are we?

[Grins as the broom comes up and then looks up at James.] He does?

[Nodding] Three years.

[nonmetus]

Yep! Alright, mate, I'm going to try that again, then we're going to the biodome. [He grabs another broom, putting it on the table again]

Where did you find these brooms anyway? [Looking his over, wondering if it'll go as fast as his Firebolt. Then again, he kind of doesn't want it to if there's a ceiling up there, might hit it way too fast.]

Made them. [He casts the spell again, brows furrowing for a moment before he grins, getting the broom into his hand with a simple 'up'] This is going to be fucking brilliant.
