Summary: A cowl is a weighty thing. Just like last trip, a rendezvous point is set up, somewhere for the capes to crash and be able to take their masks off in peace.

[Alex? Is never sure how he managed to become a part of it, but he's there when Dick returns. A glance to the guns when Dick sets them down and he makes a face, shakes his head and goes back to making space in the corner he's working at.]

Do you know how to fire one?

[Dick picks up one of the handguns, examining the condition of it.]

I can probably fire all the guns on this table. [He places it back among the other guns.] I know how to put them apart and put them back together. I was taught how to do this since they'd be used against me. I was in the Academy for awhile too, so I needed good scores for shooting.

[He walks over to the other's side, eyes more to the ground than the table.]

... Would it be too much if I asked you to teach me how to use one?

[He looks over at Alex for a minute.]

I can teach you the basics. How to load it and how to fire it. I don't think we'd have time for me to teach you everything. I can't tell you not to shoot people, but I do have a request. If I teach you, you only fire to kill if you're in such a dire situation that would require it.

I'm not a fan of firearms anyhow. [There's little reaction on his side, but he lifts his head to look at Dick.] It might just be a little more useful than punching something in the face, you know?

[notasidedick]

[He laughs a bit.] It depends on how hard you punch and where you punch them. [If Bruce had trained to be assassins, they sure as heck would know a lot of ways to kill a man.] But I'll teach you. We can find some old objects you can practice aiming at.

[What is with nearly everyone knowing how to kill a person in multiple ways? He nods, exhales.]

I'd appreciate that.

[notasidedick]

[Gosh darn superheroes and their strange knowledge.]

We can do it in a few days once things have settled down a bit and when we have actual sunlight to work with.

[A pause.] Have you been alright?

[notasidedick]

I know how to contact you otherwise.

[He tilts his head, a curious expression on his face.] Huh? Yeah, I'm alright? Why do you ask? [He hasn't been in a terribly bad mood or anything. Things haven't been too bad as of late.]

It's not that hard to get my attention. [A shrug of the shoulders.]

The last time I saw you, you were 'Robin', not 'Batman'. I just wanted to see.

[notasidedick]

Right. I remember a bit of that. I wasn't too much trouble for you I hope. [He wasn't exactly the most sensible kid.]

Not as much as Bucky was--don't tell him. [He makes a face, rolls his eyes.]

[notasidedick]

I won't. I think he got second hand embarrassment from himself. [Which sounds kind of funny when you think about it.]

[faultlesscon]

Mm, he tried apologizing to me. [This face as he thinks on the other's words.]

Dick. Why am I here?

[notasidedick]

[He looks a little perplexed at that question.]

What do you mean by that exactly? [How do you answer that? What even?]
