[It's morning--not as if he has any plans for today and when he sees the familiar frame sitting there, he walks over without a sound, only bumps the shoulder of the other with his knee as he keeps to the side, hands in his pockets.]

How much for your thoughts?

[He hears the steps and feels the bump of the others knee, looking upward to the familiar face and offering him a small smile before looking back out to the desert landscape before them. He pauses and shifts, getting comfortable and stretching his legs out.]

How much are you willing to give?

[Alex keeps on his feet and looks over his shoulder as the other speaks. There's a pause as he looks down, turns his pockets inside out then gives a shrug of his shoulders.]

I've got nothing but a pair of ears and sarcasm.

[The others motion makes him smile, a light and quiet one. Alex has his own sense of humor about him and he does not mind it at all. The sarcasm, it's something he can relate to and understand so he never really takes his replies completely seriously with comes to the snips.] That works.

I'll take it.

[Fixing his pockets with a nod, he finally settles himself and takes a seat beside Timothy. Head turned towards him, he takes in a breath.]

Shoot, then.

[He watches the other sit and looks to him for a moment before looking out to the surrounding area. A pause and another breath and he speaks, hesitant but at least he is talking.] I'm worried.

It's been too quiet lately, I feel that something bad is going to happen I'm just not sure what.

Well that's a broad concern--a bit obvious too, considering where we are.

[He keeps his hands on his knees.] That doesn't sound like something that would place you here however, so who is it really on your mind?

[There is a quiet pause and he lets out a breath, eyes keeping away from the other. He contemplates it for a moment and then speaks.] Tim.

It's Tim--also the fact that this place hasn't thrown one thing at us since we arrived.

Hasn't checked in with you? [A pause as he tilts his head to the side.]

Give it till next week. Sure this is just the calm before the storm that fucks us over.

No, hasn't checked in with anyone as far as I know so far. [He gives a roll of his shoulders.]

No kidding--it's going to happen soon, I'm sure of it and the scary thing is I have no idea what it could be. Nor does anyone else. I hate how this place throws things at us.

He'll turn up somehow. [He tilts his head to the side, exhales.]

First time I've heard that word from you.

[He pauses--making the choice to ignore the other's first comment.] What word?

Hate.

[He shrugs his shoulders, doesn't say much past that.]

[He pauses and watches the other before looking down to his hands and letting out a small breath that sounds like it holds a quiet laugh.] Well.

I normally don't but this place makes it hard.

It's just one thing after the other, isn't it?

[He raises a brow and shakes his head, reaches over to bump the other by the shoulder.] Positive and negative--you're not alone in that.

[Feeling the bump, he looks back over to Alex and lets out a sigh, the smallest of smiles at his lips.] Glad to know.

I'm sure the list would be miles long if there was a name for everyone who felt the same way.
