205 - Nara Shikamaru [VIDEO/ACTION]

[What’s this? Someone else taking refuge in a semi-secluded section of the biodome? Not all that unusual for this particular subject. Shikamaru’s foregone the pillow-stuffing earplugs he’s been using so far this week for now, instead just going barefoot and settling beneath a tree near the waterfall. Not too near, of course, but close enough to see

[He wasn't really expecting to see a deer here? So his curiosity is immediately piqued when he sees it. He's just going to crouch nearby and watch it for the time being, not sure whether he can approach it or not.

But he can't help but watch it. It's great to see animals nearby, and he does really like animals.]

[Shikamaru glances sideways when he hears the newcomer approach, but doesn't move much beyond that. Hana notices Dick fairly quickly as well, turning to face him and swiveling those large ears in his direction.]

[He glances at Shikamaru, giving him a small, friendly wave before his attention goes back to the deer.

The childish smile on his face may have gotten a little bigger when Hana turns to face him. He worked with horses and elephants but not deer.]

[Shika offers Dick a small nod in greeting, looking a little clicking sound in Hana's direction. At the direction (or that's what Dick will have to assume the noise was) the deer moves forward, stepping out of the stream and heading slowly for the newcomer.]

[He makes some hand motions to indicate whether the deer belongs to him, assuming that the noise was for the deer. He gets up to his feet when Hana starts approaching him.]

[Shikamaru nods, grinning just a little.

Hana stops an arm's length away, stretching his neck forward to sniff loudly. No warnings from his keeper means this person is okay to investigate. Maybe he has food.]

[He's totally jealous. Maybe.

He holds his hand out towards him a bit. Unless you want to eat some of those really bland food bars that they have dispensed, then no he doesn't have decent food. He'll offer some of the bar if you still want to eat it though Hana.]

[Hana will eat... pretty much anything, and do so quite happily.

Dick's hand gets a hearty snuffling as Hana roots about for food. Enjoy that cold nose.]

[He can't help but chuckle just a little softly at the snuffling. He pulls the wrapped bar from his pocket. He does his best to break if as quietly as possible, which isn't all that easy, before offering a few pieces to the deer.

The slight ringing in his ears is worth feeding Hana.]

[Shika's smiling at the scene from his seat, and Hana seems rather enthusiastic about the bland bits of food bar. Nomnomnom.

Dick? You have just made yourself a friend.]

[He gives Hana a few pets on the head and scratches behind her ear affectionately. It's been awhile since he's been able to take care of any animals, so he's excited to be able to even feed and pet Hana.

[Hana tilts his head into those fingers, huffing a satisfied breath through his nose.]

[He's just going to keep petting you and spoil you with all his attention then! He'll have to thank Shikamaru for letting him since this week has been nothing but a drag.]

[Hana will hang around for that attention as long as Dick's willing to give it, and Shika will just relax back against his tree.]

[Dick can surely give Hana as much attention as he wanted for quite a bit. He might have pressed his cheek lightly against the side of the deer's face in an affectionate nuzzle or some kind.

That, and Hana was very soft to touch. He couldn't help himself.]
