A-hem. This thing is on, right? Right. Awesome.
[The feed turns on to show a slightly red-faced Knives Chau (19 years old). Somehow she managed to keep the drinking to a minimum, only sipping on beer when she wanted to conserve the water she had stored. Still a little is enough to make her on the verge of tipsy and totally flushed. She has been

As for the Asian Glow, I'm afraid I wouldn't know how to cure that.

And that's okay. You're not Asian, so it's not like you have to worry about it, dude. [She giggles slightly.] I'll figure out how to get rid of it somehow.

It's kind of cute, turning red even when you haven't gotten yourself drunk. But I guess it's sometimes a problem.

You think it's cute...omigosh. [She turns even redder, and it's not because of any alcohol.] Thanks.
I still find it a little embarrassing though. Being all red and stuff can become a party downer sometimes.

Well yes. Flushed faces tend to end up looking quite adorable. [Dick is such a lady's guy.]
I'm not a huge party guy, so I wouldn't particularly know.
Reply
Yeah, you got a point about that. I guess it'd be better for there to be constant offers for water than none at all...Thanks again. [What a playa playa~]
You're not? Huh, weird. Are you more of the concert going guy then?

It's good to be hydrated. [He might have totally missed any subtle notes other then the water part.] Hah, there's no need to really say thanks for that. [He's just really nice okay? :C]
Not really. I'm a little too busy for those things, and since the only parties I really go to are those really boring social gatherings, I don't particularly care for that type of nightlife.
Reply
What type of nightlife do you care for then? Late night tv shows? [She's curious, bro.]
Reply
I'm not a TV guy either. I grew up without it. [He didn't really have TV until after he moved in with Bruce probably.] I worked on the force for a little while. Most of the shifts were in the daytime, but I have night shifts too. Those were fun.

So you're a cop then. Cool! I never really knew one before...Oh!
I'm Knives Chau, by the way. I should have introduced myself earlier. Sorry!
So who are you, Mr. Cop-dude?
Reply
Was. I got laid off for some other things. Not that I was bad. [He was one of the best on the force.]
A pleasure to meet you Knives...well as close to meeting as this is.
Dick Grayson.

You got laid off? That sucks, man. I guess the recession didn't just hit my own universe. I'm sorry to hear that.
At least we don't have to worry about that stuff here, right? [Knives Chau: Master in Inappropriate Optimism.]
Reply
Huh? You can say that. [Money wasn't the problem for him. His boss found out he was that one vigilante going around the city, but hey, details.]
That's nice to think about. Not having to worry about certain things. [Dick Grayson: Not helping in inappropriate optimism.]
Reply
[Of course she has to deal with even worse things here. Everyone does. But it's nice to meet another inappropriate optimist.]
And meeting new people is totally nice. People here are really diverse too. So it's like really interesting to learn about the different universes and the kinds of perspectives that come with them. [Psycho killers and douchebags not included. She'd rather stay away from those types.]

[Optimists need to stick together to continue being...optimistic.]
I've enjoyed meeting all the new people here. It's fascinating to find out what their worlds are like or how their lives worked.

Why would you want to jump from things? Are you like an adrenaline junkie?
[She giggles, obviously amused that the idea of someone as seemingly straight-laced as Dick doing crazy stuff like jumping from trees.]
That's exactly why I like meeting people here! What's your world like, by the way?
