 [Death's berry drops down to the ground and she looks down at it, her eyes hollow and her expression blank. She's wobbling on her feet, and when she speaks, her voice is hoarse, raspy and dry. There's at least two days of bags under the young girl's eyes

There's a Rachel here. and a Timothy.

[She looks away] I have a body here. I didn't know.

No, that's good, it's fine. [He takes in a breath.] Food and rest, that's important while you have a body here, alright?

Though I suppose you were already told that.

The yellow shards and the brown rectangles, She had me put them in my mouth and force them down my throat with the muscles in the back. It was strange.

How do I rest?

That's called eating--humans do that for energy. You're going to have to get used to it while you're here.

You close your eyes while laying down on most occasion. Then you don't do anything. Usually instinct will take over at that point, and you should fall asleep.

Ok! Lay down, eyes closed. Got it.

I... well, I knew about eating, but I thought you needed to consume.. smaller creatures. Usually whole. I didn't want to harm any infants.

If you need help I could.. show you how I do it? [That's... odd to say and maybe not even possible--he hasn't been getting much sleep.]

Ah, no. If it's food, you can eat? It's difficult to explain.

[She gives him a hug, this time laughing a little bit. This was a fun game, and she wasn't so scared anymore.]

So you do not eat smaller animals? This didn't look like a growing thing.

Just let me know when you're feeling tired. It might be better to do it then. [He stills at the hug--returns it tentatively because it really is still odd, but he doesn't want her to be frightened.]

You can--they're not here though, and you would have to go through a process for that.

Mmmmm.. [She smiles and snuggles a little bit. Take your snuggles like a man, Alex.]

I don't know when I'm sposed to feel tired. It's been.. three days, and I haven't- [She gets interrupted by a yawn, and leans against Alex's shoulder a little bit more]

I haven't done any sleeping yet. I don't know how.

[He is not a man nor a father figure why is this happening? At that he shifts a little, moves to pick her up. In an awkward fashion, of course, because he hasn't done this before.]

I think three days is enough for you to be tired. [And with that, he's carrying her to the nearest bed.] That yawn said a lot.

My room's over there. [She points across the suite to 1-d]

I think you're right. [She's just flopping against his shoulder now, her eyes closing]

You're a nice human. I like you.

Alright. [A nod and he's heading that way, careful in how he carries her so it's not as odd. Don't mind if he gets quiet at that.]

... I wouldn't say nice, but I appreciate that. [Opening the door, he moves inside, moves to lay her down on the bed before taking a seat beside it on the floor.] Remember what I told you?

[dyingwings]

I would. That's why I said it.

[She smiles at him, and snuggles into the bed, closing her eyes.]
