I do so hate to be a bother, but could someone with moderately decent surgical skills assist me in freeing these dreadful things from my back? I've no idea what I'm supposed to do with wings, but they're awfully painful as it is.

Could you do anything about the pain? If you can't, I understand. You look as though you're in pain yourself.

I'm low on pain killers. I've been using what I have left for surgeries to release the wings.

And I'm fine, don't worry about me.

I'm just trying to help as many people as I can before this goes badly for me too.

Still, I think your helping people when you're feeling dreadful yourself is impressive, regardless of whether it's your job or not.
