This week will make my New Year's resolution to meet new people a little hard, I think. Maybe I should postpone it a little. Or does working on resolutions have to start right on New Year's Day?

It does, but there's little for similarity. No festivals, no offerings.

Even if there were, I've little interest in seeing more years tick by.
