We went home, pretty. [Looking away from Kanda, at the Tease.] I wasn't going to join my Family so I cut a deal, my own Tease was a part of it.

[Moves to reach toward the eyepatch but stops himself, hand hovering by Joyd's instead.] I'm just glad both of you are okay.

That's debatable. On many counts.

[Looking up at him, clearly worried.] What happened?

Nothing for you to worry about. [Ruffling that hair and then picking Kanda up princess style.]

Let's find you a room to rest in.

J-Joyd! [dskjhgjg Blushing! But doesn't protest over being picked up. Kindoflikesitwhenit'sEloi/Joyd.]

I-It is something to worry about!

You're malnourished and we're in some odd spot. Don't tell me something stupid like that.

Tease, go see if you can find some human food.

[Gives a huff and just rests a head against him, wrapping his arms around Joyd's neck as he watches it go.]

[Avoiding the hotel since that's where most of the activity is starting to settle and takes Kanda to the remains of someone's house.]

[Looking around a little as Joyd carries him, a little curious about the house. As long as they're alone he can let himself relax, and Joyd might feel some of the tension in his muscles leave.]

[Smiling weakly against him.] Sorry... I just didn't trust the Order's food or...anything while locked up.

[Just grows quiet and gives Kanda his - Booky's - Exorcist jacket, crystal marks are gone.]
