>Sollux, freak out internally

842 Hastings Boulevard

[After a dream, Sollux wakes up with a small sense of dread. That wasn't like a normal nightmare that he had when he sleeps without sopor, no. That dream was something very different. He feels around and sighs a little, noticing that he was still in Mayfield. He gets out of bed, puts on some clothes, and goes downstairs for ( Read more... )

I'm aware about Mayfield being a terrible thing.

But why would you contact me privately over this matter? Would it not be easier to just tell everyone else while you're at it? We're all practically strangers for the most part anyways. [Her voice sounds off. It's still relatively cheerful, but there's a tone in her voice. Like she's more resigned suddenly.]

Maybe I wanted to talk to my matesprit privately?

...

I don't have a matesprit. You must have gotten the wrong person.

[He blinks a few times, a little confused.]

...this is Aradia Megido, right?

This is her.

But how do you know who I am? I have no idea who you are and how you know me, but I don't know who you are.

...this is Sollux. We're matesprits, we became matesprits right before dying together, remember?

Now I know this must be this place pulling my leg. But they've messed up.

I don't know a Sollux and I've never had a matesprit.

[I don't know a Sollux and I've never had a matesprit.

He stays quiet for a long moment, his chest feeling tight.]

...a-are you serious?

Of course I'm serious.

I'm not Terezi or Vriska, who joke about these things.

If I knew a Sollux, I'd remember them. No amount of doomed timelines would make me forget.

I'm sorry. You must know a different Aradia Megido then I. She probably had a better life then me, anyways. Not that I care about the hurdles I've gone through. I'm okay with it. [There's that hollow okay.]

[He couldn't believe what he was hearing. She really didn't remember him, it wasn't just a silly joke that she was pulling. It was as if... as if he really had been erased completely. It was like he's never existed. He takes a deep breath, a kind of shaky sounding breath. His chest felt tight and his stomach felt hollow.]

I-I'm sorry, I could have sworn that I had the right number.

Don't worry about it!

People make mistakes all the time. You don't have a Seer of Time to stop you from making mistakes I bet. [She is oblivious to your sadness.]

Seer of Time?

[He almost wanted to just hang up, talking to her was going to be hard with her not remembering who he was.]

Yes. Seer of Time.

That's odd, the Aradia I know is the Maid of Time.

[Maybe this is a different Aradia?]

I'm sure you're asking for a different Aradia then. I'm the Seer of Time.

It's strange you're aware of this though. I don't know anyone named Sollux, much less anyone else who was involved in a session. but I guess maybe that means your universe is in a completely different session.

In my session, I'm the Mage of Doom. You said you know Vriska and Terezi? Well, so do I.
