It's been forever since I posted but I'm going to try to be around more in the new year!

How is everyone? My life has been good but busy aside from being scared about the direction the country is headed in due to the orange idiot.

I have to admit, a good part of my free time is spent reading politics in case I have to get the hell out of dodge. Scary times.

Mostly OK? My 95-year-old mother broke her hip in July 2017, and I went through three or four months of absolute hell dealing with that, and even though she recovered as well as one could expect of a woman of her age, she came down with pneumonia and passed away in December of 2017. So this last weekend has been a saddish anniversary. Other than that, we're doing all right, though I too have spent a good deal of time fuming about politics. However, the midterms gave me some real hope that Arizona's going purple. I need to get back in touch with the local precinct Dems I was working with before Mom's accident derailed everything...

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. It's hard no matter how many years you've had with them.

I canvassed for Mikie Sherrill who won thank goodness. The midterms do give me some hope but there are so many people who are absolutely insane and or bigots - there's no other explanation.

Hiiiiiiiiii! I'm so happy to see you! I'm okay. Still dealing with health stuff, trying to stay positive. Still writing fic, even BtVS, though Thunderheart is currently the fandom of my heart. How are the boys?

I'm fine, thank you. Still doing therealljidol thing. For the meantime mostly over at Dreamwidth, because that's where Idol is this season. Enjoying the balmy weather and wondering how long it will last. ;-)

Today started out balmy - in the mid 50 in the morning. By night it had dropped 30 degrees. Mother Nature keeps yelling and we're all ignoring it. Sigh.
