I missed offering my congratulations and welcome, but better late than never, I hope.
Iced coffees appeal to me in the middle of a California summer, outside on the beach, laying on the sand in mid-afternoon, so you can feel the heat of it soak into your skin just enough not to burn but to leave you feeling like you've been sitting out there all day, when really it's only been a few hours, condensation falling off the plastic cup, falling into the dry sand, leaving moisture marks and freezing fingertips from the coldness of it as it's clasped there between hands. Watching the clouds roll by and making up images for them as you count them like you would stars until you lose track or propping yourself up on your elbows to watch the waves roll as the tide comes in and mentally mark as it rises or recedes a little more with passing time. The combination of the cold of the drink and the heat of the sand and the atmosphere makes me feel a real essence of summer
