You can afford to get a new one that's not stolen and liable to laqnd us in jail after we kill whoever is after us. [Daken drawled ironically and leaned under the car to perforate the gas tank a couple of times with his claws. They wanted a spectacular explosion, one that would destroy all trace evidence from the vehicle.]

Be my guest. [The mutant didn't have any emotional attachment to the car because it just wasn't in his nature to car. Pouring the gasoline all over the back seat where he'd bled out on the leather, he moved next to soak down the front interior before popping the hood so he could screw with the engine block as well. While they hadn't been inside that particular compartment, Daken wanted the explosion to be as hot and furious as possible so he sliced the hoses for the gas lines and stabbed his claws into the oil pan as well so that would catch fire as well. To say that Daken was thorough and had obviously done this before was a bit of an understatement.]

[By the time Bucky finished parking the truck, Daken had changed into the highway patrol officer's uniform. The man's gut made the shirt a little loose on his torso and the pants were an inch or two too long but so long as no one looked too closely, no one would notice. The shirt was a little loose around the gut and the pants were two inches too long but so long as no one looked too closely, they'd never notice he was wearing a dead man's uniform.] A wedding gift for you, precious? [He purred and held out a rifle he'd found in the police cruiser. Wearing a pair of soft leather gloves and his mohawk shoved up underneath the cap, Daken didn't look anything like himself.]

I love how they've defaulted to calling each other by pet names. XD

Aw, but I've got nothin' for you. [Still, he took the rifle, looking Daken over with a disparaging glance. The man could make most things look good, but not an oversized police uniform.] Don't take this the wrong way, sweetheart, but that's not a good look on you.
