...oh! Well, then. Our holiday appears to have been relatively brief. It seems I've severely underestimated the quality of the circuit I built to repair the psycho-telem... nevermind, it's one to you lot. Hello!

[Wait, does he sound HAPPY? What's going on, guys, this is creepy.]

I beg your pardon! I don't see you having trouble navigating the library. My sense of organisation is impeccable, in its own element.

It was a marvellous trip, in fact. No irreparable damage, everyone's alive, and she seems in considerably higher spirits now. [To say nothing of him, that is; he sounds like he's been belching rainbows and pixies all day.]

Shall I bring you this satchel, then? When will you be available?

[Careful, he might. One acquires the strangest viruses in space ports sometimes. BUT FOR NOW, a chuckle.]

Sisyphus? Goodness, I might have to ask you why you're here, then. You never struck me as much of a highwayman. And who's Chartreuse?

What holiday? [Someone's behind on barge news.]

Oh, you've returned! Splendid, and hello! The, ah... well, it was no more than a short errand to facilitate some repairs, really, and a measure of recuperation for a friend who's had a terrible time of late. I suppose 'vacation' might be a better term in some respect.

It must be so wonderful to be a warden. Simply able to skip off the barge whenever you feel like doing so.

Not necessarily. The last time I left, it wasn't by choice, and I nearly died.

[There's a long moment where he just stares. He's in the TARDIS control room, sitting on the bench with his arms crossed tightly across his chest. When he speaks, it's with a very unamused tone.]

What did he do?

More importantly, you told him you were Alistar?

Least importantly, what in the universe is that???

[Eyebrow.]

He flirted, as you warned, of course. I did, because the uniform he was wearing at the time reminded me of the Brig, and this... is a banana. D'you like it?

[Is he... no, he's not going to... oh god, he is. HE'S MAKING IT DANCE AT YOU.]

Uh huh, and just how much flirting was there? You look a little flustered about it.

[He leans in with a curious, slightly appalled expression] Yeah, I get that, but why's it wearing clothes? [He sits up again as soon as his younger self makes it dance, and glares a little. Trying very hard not to find this amusing.] Jack told you to get that, did he? Silly prat.

There's a television series on Earth called "Bananas in Pyjamas" from... oh, I'd say about Peri's time, or perhaps her childhood. She might even have mentioned it. The Captain said nothing of the sort, but he did tell me you like bananas. I suppose I must grow out of jelly babies at some point.

[He looks all too amused by Nine's non-amusement, but at least he isn't teasing. or actually acknowledging the earlier questionBECAUSEBANANASAREFUNOKAY]

Hello, you! I am, in fact, and I've got everything I need now; the excursion was productive and great fun. There were skirmishes to be had, but they were minor and altogether exhilarating. I do believe those cheered Una more than everything else we saw combined.

I'm glad that you had a good time and you help cheer her; I was worried.
