Tonight Im making Lasagna.... Semi homemade if you will.
1 pd ground beef
1 pd ground italian sausage (I like spicy)
1 green pepper finely chopped
1/2 med onion finely chopped
2 med cloves of garlic finely chopped
1 can of Prego
1 can of Ragu
(this recipe will more than double the amount of sauce so be prepared to freeze the rest for a spagetti night!)
1/2 bag of italian shredded cheese (chedder is a yummy sub!)
6 lasagne noodles (I found a brand that you dont have to cook first, awesomeness!!!)
Brown the ground beef and sausage(out of the casing) together, after a few moments of browning add green peppers. When the meat is about halfway done add the onion and at the very end add the garlic. When the meat is done drain well. Add the sauce and stir.
put a thin layer of sauce mixture on the bottem of a small square pan (I spray mine so nothing sticks, Pam so rocks) a thin layer of cheese then place two noodles side by side. Repeat until near the top... Finish with a good layer of sauce and cheese. Cover with a sprayed piece of tin foil and bake for 20 mins... remove tin foil and let brown on top.
Served with Salad str8 from the bag!
