on second thoughts i'd rather hang around

on the way to yosemite, we were driving into a big grey cloud. i like when the weather reflects my mood. and then the first stop to sightsee, there was a little boy holding a puppy. i pet the puppy, and it got excited and peed on the little boy. welcome to yosemite ( Read more... )

becca barker! (i think this is a once-in-a-lifetime usage of that name, but moving on...) i am proud to be the first person outside of your immediate family that talks to you, and hopefully, for the sake of your self-esteem, i am not the last. today in play rehearsal, we finalized the structure of the play, and, in my opinion, it looks very promising. things have changed A LOT. patriots' day was boring. i spent like five hours in the center (although the parade itself was only like two hours (this is because i arrived two hours early and stayed an hour late)). needless to say, i had excellent seating. btw, how do you like the use of a parenthesis within another parenthesis? i enjoyed it. back to patriots day, i spent it mostly in solitude and your description of your surroundings as you typed reminded me of my patriots day. i sat amongst people i didn't know in very cramped quarters, however in my case there was no helpful internet guy nor El Capitan to keep me company. i think i read about monoliths in earth science last year and i'm ( ... )

please reciprocate the gesture by responding to one of these two responses. thanks. :-)
benjamin barker needs some appreciation as well (this is definitely the only time i will ever refer to myself in the third person, although i'm not sure it really counts because i'm not actually using my own name (but that's a very minor technicality.)) again, appreciate the double parenthesis.

barker you make me chuckle, here in the yosemite lodge, where strangers walk by and are alarmed that i'm sitting here alone chuckling. it's not bad here, really. it's pretty nice. today i waded through a river. that was new.
when you use double parentheses, the second one is this [ ]. right? or maybe that's only quoting sources. i don't know. i'm ending this.
i got the email with the structure of the play, but i couldn't bring myself to read it. but skimming, i saw that smitten is a disillusioned teenager. oh no.
i'm in the mood for a little movie night this sunday.
i have this feeling you'll be the only one to comment. but that's fine, because yours is long enough that it makes us equal losers.

Becca Barker Savoy,

I am taking this opportunity to declare my love for you.

Love,
May Tulin

P.S. And for you too, Ben.

P.P.S. Is Barker really your middle name?

barker is no way associated with my name. ask becca about its origins, she knows better than i. i love your title with its use of the double parenthesis as well as the reference to the shitty and empty comments which i had mentioned. i'm taking this opportunity to declare that your comment didn't qualify as shitty nor empty.
