The way Harry acts around Cho is cute. It's interesting that Harry never once thinks "I'm the Boy Who Lived, I can have anyone I want" because he probably could. Harry is arrogant and humble at the same time. I just love that about him.
There are two instances where Harry and Hermione know something that Ron doesn't in this chapter. This stood out to me in my first read two years ago and it stands out now. It really makes Ron's character look weak. What is JKR's motivation in doing that? In the next chapter, Hermione knows about the evil quill cutting Harry and gives him the salve. We didn't read about Harry telling her and Harry didn't seem suprised that she knew. So, he had to have told her off perspective. JKR could have done the same with these two bits of info (the dogged catch and the scar burning) but instead she chose to keep Ron out of the loop. Why? My guess is it is a hint that they dynamic of the trio is changing, a trend that continues throughout OotP.
