...or THE KISS

Part the First: Professor Hagrid
Hagrid is back and ready to teach Care of Magical Creatures again. Well, you know, Hagrid-style. Hermione tries to assist him in preparing for classes, but to little avail. He introduces the thestrals to the gang, and until Umbridge shows up, he doesn't do a half-bad job. But then that sodding ( Read more... )

While Harry was asleep did he shout out loud?? He must have been otherwise the others wouldn't have woken up. I kinda would of liked to know what it was that Harry did or said to wake up his dormmates. Whatever it was it was scaring them.

Good point. I think it must have been Harry struggling to not do what he was doing, or reacting to seeing the attack.

Umbridge is really, really evil - on top of the powercrazy trip, egotistic nature and all that, she's prejudiced and she likes that. In fact, she tries to convince everyone around that she's right about being prejudiced, and steps out of her way to make life a little harder for the ones she despises. Gee, THAT'S what I call evil. The way she treated Hagrid, it was like he's some kind of highly trained animal or something ( ... )

Ron and Hermione are very supportive - they don't even tease Harry

I got the feeling Ron was saving the teasing for later, after he'd told Seamus, Dean, Neville, Fred, George ... I guess events later in the night stopped that.

I was so excited with the kiss! We've been with Harry since the first butterflies in his stomach in book 3, and now, finally, she's into Harry. Didn't like the fade out (how did they say goodbye? What was the conversation after the kiss?),

I believe this was a deliberate decision by JKR. I think she didn't want us to get too invested in Harry/Cho, so she chose not to describe the kiss. As we see by the end of OotP, Harry seems to be over Cho; I think he basically admired her from afar, but for a variety of reasons the one-to-one between them didn't work.

I really don't want to put my shipping thoughts here - 22 days and counting. I also feel that most of you guys are H/Hr shippers, and I don't wanna get beaten. ;)

I think it is safe to say what your feelings are for a particular ship, a few are H/Hr shippers true, but we aren't the beating kind. It is always good to have a different opinion on things, that is why we are here. Share and share a like.

argh- bloody Cho. I can't help feeling she worked the whole Cedric thing out of her there, just to ease into getting a snog from harry. I know Hermie says she was crying all the time, but I think it was just a bit too much of a convienience.

I love love love the section after it though. Ron is such a duffer, and Hermione's snobbish mature girl attitude is lovely- perfectly reflects how she must feel stuck in a drafty castle with two cottonwool heads while a certain older, big strong dark haired boy is far away. And I don't mean Sirius!
