I knew I was through the "ugly is the new cute" looking glass when I saw a woman on the train wearing all of the following: shiny spandex leggings, banded, low-waisted acrylic sweater with gold threads throughout, big belt and an ugly purse.

I mean, those things look cute on Fame owing to the nostalgia factor but in real life, it made me afraid to get near her for fear of catching The Ugly.

omg no. none of that. it is not even a gramma show or a ked. i HATE the jazz oxford bc it has exactly no shape of its own, the vamp is too low, and basically it sucks as a shoe. ballet dancer chic is one thing that i think we can live WITHOUT in this 80s revival. gold lame? silver lame? even worse.

i feel like gramma shoes at least have a sole to speak of! they have some SHOE to them! i mean come on now!

ahh, I love those shoes! they have no arch support, though, which sucks.

i actually love these shoes and bought some in black to be worn with black tights and vintage dresses hoodies and big clunky rhinestones grandma bags (but then i woree orthopedic shoes the whole year i was 21 so what do i know)
