Yeah, the whole thing is pretty disgusting. Moen seems to be flouncing because she didn't get a Hugo nomination, and Requires Hate is shit stirring because that is what she does, 24/7.

Looking at Moen's blog, it looks a lot like she's added a backdated post to show how reasonable she has been all along. I'm not all that impressed. As far as I am concerned, the only people who come out of this looking good are Kari, obviously, and Shaun Duke, whose apologies seem genuine and most importantly, ask for nothing in return ( ... )

Moen's "reasonable" seems to be totally reinventing history.

Item one, surely, SURELY, if someone had actually talked about rapefic on a well attended panel in the UK, it would have been all over the Internet in nanoseconds, and not in a good way.

Amazing, compared to analysis made by people some considerable time later that the takeaway from the person who was writing at or shortly after the time was The panellists were perceptive, calm and witty. A rare thing in all this fiasco. If you can find video footage of the event, or a better write-up than mine, check it out.
