Best of luck! I should have given you food recommendations-- hope you get to eat some good food while you're out there :)

Korean tofu soup (I LOVE this place, but it may not be to everyone's taste): Tofu House on the corner of El Camino and Lawrence
Amazing sushi: Blowfish Sushi at Santana Row, might need reservations
Cooked Japanese: Yuki Sushi, the saba shioyaki was my favorite. Haven't been there for several years, though.
Indian: Went to Amber India in Santana Row this past visit and it was really good, has both traditional Indian and fusion
Pearl Tea: Verde Tea in Mountain View is my favorite place. I get a pearl milk tea with "low sugar", otherwise it's too sweet
Ramen: Ryowa Ramen in Mountain View, try the original
