Some people aren't comfortable sharing their emotions with others. Maybe people aren't naturally "superficial." A lot of people grow up being taught to hide true thoughts and feelings in an effort to present a "normal" what-every-one-expects-me-to-be person to the world. Sometimes it takes longer to learn a new way. Don't give up on new emotional bonds. they are still possible.

Yeah, you're right. I know that some people aren't comfortable sharing and not superficial, but working in a bar, I tend to see this more than most. I swear there IS a great level of superficialness going on though, but then again...it's a bar. Perhaps I've become jaded. I'm defintely not closing myself off to new emotional bonds, I'm just incredibly picky these days.

Arg, the boy situation. It's just another lesson I had to learn the hard way. I'll have to call you about it later.

I never meant for you to feel like you were judgemental. I'm just an idealist and refuse to believe that people are really superficial by nature, I think most of the time it is a learned thing.

That's the thing though...I'm really not feeling particularly lonely. Well, not anymore lonely than I usually feel. It was weird. I woke up feeling more like "Mimi, what are you trying to tell me?"
