No, we haven't. I just... kinda figure a lot of people know Kate. [He exhales quietly.] I'm Tommy. Her boyfriend.

She's... she died. Earlier in the week. But she'll be back. Soon. Hopefully. Um. You want me to bring that coke down?

She will be, Tommy. Girl like that's just too damn stubborn to die. It's the ones like her last the longest, here. Don't you worry about that.

Staying active helps. Or if you get really desperate you can try splashing cold water on your face. Caffeine is a temporary fix. It only lasts so long before your body is more tired than it was before. [She's had plenty of experience staying up when normal people should be asleep]

I've been doing my best. The collar chokes me if I start to sleep, and burns me if I try to eat solid food, so it's hard to keep my energy up.

All I need is a temporary fix. I just need to last two days, if I take caffeine in small, controlled amounts, that should help at least a little.

Besides that I've been staying plenty active obeying all the stupid commands that keep coming my way...

Try sticking with coffee, in that case. If you can find any. Soda in general just really doesn't work, unless you're a kid. Maybe it's just me it doesn't work for but that's the best advice I can give.

Try a cold shower. The shock should wake you for a little while.

Possible. But I never had warm showers back home, I've gotten used to cold ones.

If you'd like to try and help, I'd appreciate it, but I'd rather just talk, or.. play cards, or something. Honestly, if I can avoid physical injury to do this, I will. [He gives a weak little grin]
