[ Bakura didn't even wait until the end of the recording before he's stalking down the hallways, knife in hand and a move or die expression. The screaming was as much of a map as anything and he arrives on the scene shortly thereafter. ]

[She's vaguely aware of a voice that isn't Stein's, but far too gone to even try to discern who it is. All she knows is that it's not Soul. he was one of them this week. Her eyelids move, and she slowly opens her eyes, wondering what's going on.]

If you move her too far away from me, she'll die. [And then he just looks back down and continues rooting around in her innards.] I'll put her back together once I'm done with her.

[ Bakura advances on Stein, knife held at ready. ]

[Oh my-- she doesn't even have words. She's grabbing her 'berry and running out to search for this, to try and stop him. At least try to help Maka out of this.]

Hold on, Maka--!

[When you get right down to it, there's no way she can get lost, this time, with that noise to follow. She'll come running onto the scene as fast as her legs can carry her.]

[By the time she gets there, Bakura has gone with Maka, and Allen is there fighting off Stein. There's a trail of blood on the floor leading out.]

[ooc: is it cool if Allen jumps down here with Stein? :3 The actual fight is going to be handwaved, but I figured maybe you three could do a little tagging before it gets to the handwaving point?]

[She doesn't hesitate; Marie jumps right into the fray, trying to help Allen even with her own limited strength. She feels-- angry. Betrayed, even-- why the hell is Stein attacking her students?!]

[ He knew that blood was weighty, but carrying Maka when she had lost so much of it still managed to surprise him in how light she felt. There was almost as much crimson outside of her as there must be inside of her, he suspected.

Finding a quiet room, he lowers her to the ground so that her head is resting in his lap. He doesn't even know if she's properly conscious at this point. ]

[She blinks her eyes open, but doesn't say anything. At this point, her skin is much too pale and clammy, and her breaths come slowly. Maka's expression though is relatively calm.]

[ His hands ghost over her multiple wounds without actually touching them, a practiced eye judging the depth and damage and automatically translating it into minutes. Based on her near-stupor, Bakura thinks it's likely that she's already going into shock. His expression doesn't change, stays oddly detached. ]

I guess you knew that much already.

[She closes her eyes again, and her lips move silently. After a few seconds, one of her arms moves, and eventually moves it enough until one of her hands is near where his are. There's a pause in her movements, and then she lays her hand on one of his.

It's very cold, but the gesture is obviously deliberate.

Her lips move again, and the quietest words come out.]
