Having inspected his "shipment" and given orders to his men to keep an eye on it, the next order of business was to discuss the current state of affairs with his new associate. Roman had no illusions as to what Ra's had planned; he was just a pawn to the ancient man, but hell if he cared. There was no guarantee the city would even exist after this so-called experiment had ended. Better to forge alliances now and deal with them later.

Members of the False Face Society stood around the room, their suits and masks garish in contrast al Ghul's men. Roman extended his hand in a firm shake to Ra's.

"It certainly was. I appreciate your efficiency and professionalism, Ra's; working with you is a breath of fresh air."

Ra's returned the handshake without missing a beat, as deplorable as he found many of the Batman's 'villains' there was no time for butting heads over trifles like soapbox morality. After all, as long as Roman got the job done there was nothing else to be said. He was already proving an invaluable distraction.

"There is little time for anything else- though several of our... contemporaries on the network do not seem to have realized." Ra's answered. "From what I have come to understand many from this 'Facility' believe they will be gone from the city in three weeks time. The clock is already ticking." If Roman didn't know before maybe that information would have him step up his game. The more trouble he caused the better the distraction.

"Your plans for the Batgirl?" He asked, glancing down the hall in the direction of the 'delivery.'

Three weeks was a lot of time.

He'd managed to inflict maximum damage in a span of only a few days during the gang war that tore through Gotham that fateful summer, after all. And now he had the added advantage of one of the most powerful and calculating terrorists in the world as an ally.

Oh, yes. He could definitely swing this.

He folded his arms across his chest, perpetually leering at Ra's.

"Batgirl and I have some unfinished business to take care of: namely, her agonizing torture and death. But before that, I'm going to hit her where it hurts most and make her relive all the horrifying feelings and emotions of when I tortured her the first time by doing it to her friends."

There was a contemplative pause before he added:

"It's a killing-two-birds-with-one-stone kinda deal; all the rest of the Batfreaks will follow suit, especially Catwoman. Which brings me to my next point: do you have any intel on who exactly is here?"

Terezi came around in the midst of being manhandled. She had enough sense not to make any sound or movement--to remain slack and unresponsive, even if it was really really hard. She just wanted to laugh so badly. They blindfolded her. Blindfolded. Her. She couldn't even be properly pissed off at this string of events, these people were downright moronic. Or just completely misinformed about what they were getting themselves into ( ... )

Jade, meanwhile had not come to that fast! In fact, she was just barely coming to when Terezi talked to her- and suddenly she was wide awake, actually struggling and trying to get out of her chair, freaking out a little.

"I- I am now!! W-where are we, what's going on??"

"I don't know." Not exactly a lie! Terezi knew they were in a building, knew what the building smelled like on the inside, but she didn't know how they had gotten there or where they were in the city. She hadn't been awake for that part.

"But I'm going to assume that we have been abducted, since we are tied to chairs. Does that sound reasonable to you?" Terezi didn't feel nearly as worried as she tried to make herself sound. Sure, this was completely embarrassing; and okay, there was that slightly panicked feeling that she was trying to ignore--the one that was reminding her how familiar this was. But she could handle this. She knew she could.

Jade shifted her head to try to maneuver the blindfold off, failing overtly- it was kind of calming that Terezi was there, strangely. Even if they weren't really friends yet per se Terezi was a lot better at this kind of thing! So it was a comfort having her around.

"I... yeah. Batgirl warned me this place was dangerous, maybe I should have listened closer..."

Batgirl had tracked Black Mask down in thirty minutes. Not bad... but not great, either. Being stubborn probably wasn't the best course of action in a situation like this, but she needed him to see that she wasn't weak. She was not going to back down. She sure as hell wasn't going to let him hurt those girls.

After a brief conversation with Lucas, Batgirl broke in through the back of the building, taking out three thugs silently and without warning. Spoiler would have been wasting time, bumbling around and crashing through windows. Robin would have had some lines saved up, wasting even more time being clever and getting herself killed. Batgirl knew better. She didn't have time for that shit. Roman Sionis was going to pay.

This was HER city. Not his. She had been fighting for this place her entire life and she wasn't about to stop now.

Jade. Terezi. Just hold on. I'm on my way.
