Darc was currently trapped in a similar state of mind as he entered the biodome, lost too deep in thought to pay much attention to his surroundings; he knew the the compulsion to cause his human pain must stem from that week's experiment, but it didn't make it any easier to deal with. No matter how hard he tried to push it from his mind, it was the fact that he had enjoyed hurting Izaya that made him feel so sickened by what had happened, he had wanted to carry on, to hear the older male scream whilst he showed his affection for him in the most twisted way possible.

So for him, as with Kirika, returning to his and Izaya's shared room was simply not an option. Even now, despite how awful he felt about it, the mere thought of Izaya made him want to inflict pain on the human. He was just going to have to make do with the biodome; he had sworn to protect Izaya with his life, and he knew that if he was to stay with the other this week he would be breaking his promise...he wouldn't be able to hold back ( ... )

When Darc's steps came to a halt, Kirika tilted her head up towards the sound. Her dark-red eyes met with a familiar face, Darc. There was no energy left in her to move. Human bodies can be fragile such as her's. She blinked twice before she turned her head away and closed her eyes again.

After a moment, she opened her eyes again. Her gaze filled with regret and shame.

He considered merely turning on his heel and immediately walking away - he wasn't the most social person even on the best of days, and today was a long way away from being that - but for some reason he found himself hesitating; it was strange for human to make no response when you came across them, wasn't it? And besides, perhaps conversing with this one would help distract him from his own dark thoughts. Not that he deserved a distraction, but he was still 'selfish' enough to want one nonetheless.

"What're you doing out here?" He intoned gruffly; he was able to see quite clearly in darkness, unlike most humans, and his sharp gaze had already picked out the shape of newly-forming bruises on her cheeks...

Usually she would withdraw from people especially after what she has done. She wanted distraction as well, but did she deserve it as well? Kirika shifted her gaze away from Darc when he asked Kirika a question. She had almost forgotten the pain from her body. This pain is nothing compared to how she felt right now.

"I can't go back there anymore," Kirika admitted with a deep sigh. "A friend of mine is hurt because of me." Even though Kirika is hurt herself, that didn't concern her.
