[After everything that was happening had been explained to her, Nill wasn't sure what to think. They had been captives, she knew that much. And now they were free. Maybe she just didn't comprehend the meaning of that as much as those who had been here longer, but it was... nice to be able to get out of the facility and walk around, see new things. Wandering was something she was good at, and as soon as she'd (slowly) read that the thing they called Val said it was over, she had made her way into... what? A metal city. There was so much to look at! She wondered how long it would take.]

[He'd just finished cleaning himself up from the big struggle when he saw Nill wandering around. Jogging over to her Sora's cuts, scrapes and bruises were all pretty visible but he looked pretty happy. They'd saved some people which was really good in his book. Now he's jogging in the girl's direction.]

Hey Nill! Whaddya think of this place?

[Her brow furrows at seeing his injuries, but figures they're minor enough that she can fuss later. At the question she shrugs, glancing around again. It was... bigger than she'd imagined, for sure.]

[And Suki is making her rounds, making sure all her friends are alright. When she turned the corner she saw Nill and smiled.]

Nice to see you're alright.

[They've got the all-clear from Val, the news that it's over and they're not going to be blown to high heaven. But it isn't over, and Bucky knows that. He's spoken to her, asked some pointed questions and gotten some answers that have the wheels in his brain turning. He knows his team has a hell of a lot of work to finish this week, and he's going to see this through to the end, and then... Then it'll be time to worry about what comes next.

Bucky is exhausted just thinking about it. He sinks to a sitting position behind a terminal and buries his face in his blood-streaked (not his) and electrical-burned hands. They've won the battle, but it doesn't feel like much of a victory without all the people he's lost to the incinerator. It doesn't feel like a win when he knows they're still just rats, albeit in a bigger cage.]

[Using her SQUIRREL STEALTH, Doreen comes to rest behind Bucky, setting her hand gently on his shoulder.] Um- Mr. Barnes... [She falters, unsure what to say for comfort. She barely knows the man, has never been on his level, yet here he is, and here she is, and it seems all too wrong not to say anything.

[He doesn't really need comfort, he needs rest, needs to stop worrying about tomorrow and the next day and the next day, but that's never going to happen. It'll take a lot to quiet the tumultuous thoughts rolling around his head. A credit to his training, he actually doesn't react when she puts a hand on his shoulder.]

Oh, I'm alright. I'm used to this kind of thing. [Messy, violent, chaotic, and unknown to the rest of the world. What the GLA used to do best.]

It seems like those of you who have been around here longer seem to be doing worse, mentally, than those of us who are still new.

[Now that they're not in danger of blowing up and the air lock is secure, it's time to clean up. Bodies need to be disposed of and things need to be fixed. Carol is kneeling next to the body of a staff member, checking for a pulse]

Dead. You're probably better off that way.

They are better off dead. [Bucky is hauling a corpse over his shoulder to the incinerator.] They don't have any future in here same as I'm not sure we have any future out there.

Yeah, guess so. [She stands, picking up the corpse she was checking] Probably better he died now too. Who knows what would have happened to him if was still alive and someone found him.

Well, I know one person's running around taking them captive so the people they tortured the most get a shot at 'em. So yeah, best this sonuvabitch died now.

Messy business. It's gonna take a while to clean all this up.

[When Val's announcement goes up, Kate is still wandering about. The minute she hears that the project is finished and everything's all clear she lets out a sigh of relief and leans back against the wall]

There you are! [Suki, who looks a little beaten up is walking up to Kate, smiling.]

[Kate's face brightens a bit when she sees Suki and she stands up straight, smiling back]

Been through an escape before. But though I will admit, this one was much different.

[There's a weight gone -- he's not sure what to do, now that the fighting is done. Clearing away the bodies around the greenhouse is one thing -- but instead he just plops down, moving to thread his fingers through his loose hair and frowning when he realizes it's matted with blood. He's tired. It's been a long while, finishing the job.]

[Squirrel Girl's been scampering around the greenhouse like her namesake, picking up here and there, and generally keeping busy. But when the bloodied Riku flops down, he catches her attention long enough for her to scuttle over to his side.

She's got her share of scrapes and bruises, but seems to have somehow stayed out of trouble. Squirrel Girl power.] Riku! Hello.

[She's quick, he'll give her that. He realizes she's there before she speaks -- his nose is pretty good -- but she got a lot closer than most people. He tilts his head up at her, smiling gently.]

Hi, Squirrel Girl. How's it going?
