Once you've been accepted (or beforehand, if you're ambitious), please set up a character journal for this community.
There should be profile information, so people can see the basics on your character. Copying your application into the journal's profile is a good start, if you're not sure what to add. This is the profile information for puppy_claws . Feel free to make your profile information as fabulously fancy as you would like, but this covers the essentials.

Timeline:Last chapter of the manga, after the defeat of Naraku while waiting for Kagome to come back through the well after high school.
Age: Appears to be 17, most estimates put him around 150 (including 50 years stuck to a tree)
Appearance: Inuyasha is half human, half demon. At first glance he appears to be human, until you notice the fluffy white ears perched on top of his head, peeking out of his long, untamed white hair. He has gold eyes and a rather tan complexion. His nails are closer to claws, on his fingers and toes, and he has noticeable fangs. He wears all red in a style from feudal Japan, with a kimono and hakama. He does not wear shoes, but he does wear a rosary of dark beads with white teeth.
Abilities: As a half demon, Inuyasha is faster, stronger, and has better senses than a human. He can heal from wounds that would kill a human fighter. When he's seperated from his sword, his attacks of choice are based on his claws. Iron Reaver Soul Stealer is a basic attack that rends the enemy apart with his bare hands. He will also use his own blood for an attack called Blades of Blood, which results in blades being thrown at his opponent. If he loses control of his demonic half, his power increases, but he loses control and tries to kill everything around him.
Personality: Inuyasha is rude, loud, and prone to boasting. His language is crude, and he is often demanding. When he doesn't get his way, he'll yell and threaten to make people do what he wants. Insults are second nature to him. The first impression of him is usually of glaring gold eyes and yelling. Rash and impulsive to a fault, he will run right into danger.
He is also incredibly loyal to those close to him, willing to die to keep them safe. While he may scoff and try to play it down, he does care about what happens to them. He's also curious, and while he's not educated and is rather crude, he is intelligent. When he's with those he trusts and the rest of the world can't see, he does have a softer side. He's had a hard life, rejected by almost everyone he has met, and does not trust easily. Since meeting Kagome, he has met others that he can trust, and he is becoming more comfortable with having other people in his life.
History: Inuyasha's mother was a Japanese princess, and his father was a demon lord. His father was killed within an hour of his birth, so he never knew him. His mother died when he was very young. His only living relative, his older half-brother Sesshomaru, rejected him because of his status as a half breed. Inuyasha grew up on his own, fighting to find food and avoid becoming food in Feudal Japan. He wanted to be a full demon, like his half brother.
Inuyasha heard of a jewel that could grant his wish, and went to find it. The Shikon jewel was protected by a priestess named Kikyo. She didn't kill the half breed, but let him live. Inuyasha followed her, at first to get the jewel, then out of curiosity. Eventually the two became friends, and then fell in love. Kikyo did not want to be the jewel's guardian, and if a selfless wish was made, the jewel would disappear and she would be free. She convinced Inuyasha to wish on the jewel to be human and give up his dream of becoming a full demon, so they could be together. The night she was supposed to meet him with the jewel, she was attacked and mortally wounded by what appeared to be Inuyasha. Dying, she found the true Inuyasha and pinned him to a tree with a sacred arrow. The priestess died, and the jewel was burned with her.
Fifty years later, Inuyasha was awoken by the priestess's incarnation from the future, Kagome, who had returned to his time and brought the Shikon jewel back with her. Inuyasha attacked her once he was freed, trying to steal the jewel, but another priestess put a rosary on him that made it possible for Kagome to subdue him by saying 'sit'. The jewel was stolen by another demon, and while trying to recover it, the jewel was shattered.
The shards had to be gathered, and Inuyasha followed Kagome, calling her his 'shard detector'. Once all of the shards were gathered, he could make his wish and become a full demon. Eventually the treachery of that night was revealed, and Inuyasha discovered that Kikyo had not betrayed him. He was conflicted between the two incarnations of the same soul, feeling loyal to Kikyo, but having new feelings for Kagome. It was his wish to protect Kagome that allowed him to wield his father's sword Tetsaiga, and cut off his older brother's arm.
The shards were gathered and stolen and lost, friends and enemies were made, until eventually the demon that had tricked them that night 50 years ago managed to collect all of the shards and recreate the Shikon jewel. Inuyasha and his pack, along with his older brother Sesshomaru, fought with Naraku. Kagome was pulled inside of the jewel, and Inuyasha followed to save her. Kagome's complete faith in Inuyasha saved her and the jewel was destroyed, but she was returned to her time, and Inuyasha to his. In her time, Kagome is going to high school. In Feudal Japan, Inuyasha is continuing on with his life in the village with his friends, and watching the well to see if Kagome will return.
