Possibly it's a reference to mental ages, although the context is a little disturbing. I didn't know they made Valentine's sweets for that sort. Was it a gift from one of the local altar-boys?

If you must know, I was taking a walk this morning and was stopped by a child who happens to be one of the altar boys at St. Patrick's. He of course recognized me from church services and from the fact that I tend to... hang around those parts, I suppose. At any rate, he gave me a cunning little bag made of pink tissue and tied with yarn, filled with candy hearts.
