These are kind of random bits of dialouge that I haven't been able to fit into tis ridiculous story I've been writing for four months. I just thought I'd share them with someone. The same two people are talking in both of them, fyi.
"What do you keep looking at?"
"You."
"Why?"
"You're just so different. You look so... I don't know."
"What?"
"Comfortable."
"Um... thanks?"
"No, seriously. You look like you were born in this city."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I mean, the way you yelled at that bartender back there..."
"Don't judge me. Some things are just needed for survival. Knowing the local swears is just intelligent. I knew all of three words in Polish in high school and none of them were good."
"I used to be able to say 'I love you'."
"I used to be able to call someone a bitch."
"That explains a lot."
"More than you can even imagine."
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Here's the place."
"Are you sure? Some of these places look really similar..."
"I'm positive. I remember thinking that it was weird that they named a bar after fruit."
"Well, now that you've gotten here I guess I'll see you around..."
"What? You can't leave me in this crazy city! Besides, you still haven't told me why you giggled at me earlier."
"Dan, it's really-"
"Just come with me. It'll be fun! If nothing else come and act as my interpreter. These accents are ridiculous. I'll buy you a drink."
"And a pack of fags?"
"What?!"
"Cigarettes. A pack of cigarettes. And don't give me that look. You try surviving exams without becoming a smoker and see how far you get before you explode."
"I'm not saying anything. And fine, a drink and cigarettes. How very twenties of you."
"You know me, class 'till the end."
