Fern gave birth to Neven Ray Kannal at 11:17 pm 03/11/09. He is quiet, adorable, and I am trying to figure out how I helped make him look that amazing. And just like that, I am a dad. Pictures sometime soon.

I have been having the same thoughts. Fern and I created a person: someone who will see the world in his own way and live a life much different from my own. It's a lot of weight when I think about it. It's not like I painted a picture or built a house, I made a human being. Creation is an act of sheer will.
