Well, I have never really done anything like this before where other people can actually have access to my thoughts or experiences. Its actually very interesting. I am a 20-something year old single mom just trying to go back to school and finish my degrees...... Its very challenging but rewarding at the same time. Hi there! Congrats on the decision to come back to school... I am expecting my first child and I'm overwhelmed by the new responsibilities and time commitments looming on the horizon--and that's with a husband to help out. I think it's wonderful that you're setting such a great example for your daughter. Good luck with school!

Well congrats on your soon to come "little one". Although it is hard being a single parent, I must say that being a parent in general is very rewarding no matter what the circumstance. Best of luck to you!

I have so much respect for you going back to school, especially as a single mom. I'm a forty-something married Dad and I still have a hard time keeping up. I'll bet your daughter is very proud indeed.

It means a lot that so many people have respect for single-parents, but I am a strong believer that all parents deserve that respect because it is very hard BUT very rewarding work. I read your intro and I am into theater too!! So good luck this semester and break a leg in all other endeavors!

I am a mom as well. I havn't been in school for 6 years untill last Fall. I have a 5 year old, well she'll be 5 April 1. She's my pride and joy.I sometimes have to take her to school with me due to child care. It's hard when you havn't any family. I don't trust just any one with my treasure. It has been an adventure, but an adventure that is well worth it.Don't you think! I can't wait unti she sees mommy graduate.I don't want to bore you with any more of my mommy talk, so I hope to hear from you soon!

Don't worry about boring me with "mommy talk" because when it comes to my little one (who is 5 going on 6 Mar 22nd) I could talk anybone's ear off...its part of being a proud parent. I hope all is well this week and I look forward to hearing from you.... OH! By the way, your daughter sounds like my mix, except for the Puerto rican part, but I am part creole, which in a lot of ways is similar to PR, all shades and colors of the rainbow. Talk to you later.
