When: After David finishes his shift.
Where: Angie's House
Angie had left her door unlocked for David as she said she would, her house was dark, save the porchlight she'd left on for David. Her luggage was tossed throughout the house. A shirt here. Shoe there. Lizzy had found much fun in digging through Angie's suitcase in search of the dog bones she'd bought in New York. As David had predicted both of her pets had eagerly welcomed her home. A quick search of her house revealed a note on her bed, "Welcome Home -- David" Short but sweet and it was no doubt she appreciated it.
Angie and Lizzy were now resting on the couch in the comfort of the darkness. She was grateful, when she arrived home, that David had suggested she rest, the trip had taken a great deal of both physical and emotional energy from her. The young lab tech hadn't even taken the time to change into her pajamas before collapsing into a deep sleep on her couch.
She didn't even stirr from her slumber when the front door opened and Lizzy jumped from the couch to meet David at the door.
