Ah yes, I don't know why people are such wusses these days. Suck it up, buttercup, you're not dying. It's bad for not just the cost, but the line-ups seriously sick people have to wait in.

Some days I think you definitely get sicker waiting in the "waiting" room of a doc's office or hospital for the piddly problems.

This is twice in less than 2 weeks Miss Attention has needed hubby to drop everything and take her to the hospital. Nobody is giving her notice hardly at all now and I think she's trying everything possible.

Oh wait, I want to join you on the soap box. I'm the one in the ambulance taking these kooks to the hospital, because they insist they're dying. Meanwhile, little old people having heart attacks are silently suffering at home because they don't want to wake us up in the middle of the night to take them. And everyone wonders why agencies are starting to charge for transports???

Ok, now you can step down :-)

Thank you, thank you.

I know some of the bullshit you've had to deal with through my sister because she's a dispatcher for 911 & the fire side at a police station.

And, speaking of transport charge she was bitching the other day about the upcoming bill for when my best friend was taken in after he seizured at home. Nerve of her ... she was so lucky she was on the phone and not in front of me because I don't know if I could have held back from slapping her.

I'm the opposite. I never go to the doctor or hospital no matter how sick I am. my dad is the same way. maybe it's an italian man thing?

There are lots of people that just don't go. The husband of this asshole only went recently because he's the one the seizured at home.

I go for one reason, my female exam otherwise my doc doesn't see me.

My dad never believed in taking us kids to the dr just because we might sniffle or sneeze. And I thank him for it.

On the other hand my husband's sister is constantly taking her kids to the dr. It's really sad, because the doctor might say something like, maybe they just had a tickle in their nose.
