Calling former high school grads

I'm gathering ideas for gifts for my son when he graduates this June. Care to shoot some my way?

For those of you with laptops, notebooks, etc what brand do you have? Would you recommend it or another brand? Is there something that is a must to make sure a laptop has when ordering?

well my personal reccomendation would be an apple powerbook. i love it to bits! easy to use. had it three years and still going strong! else an apple ibook....
or if he's really a PC head, then a dell latitude. those are workhorse notebooks and won't cost an absolute fortune...

things that come in handy with a notebook:
wireless (wi-fi)
usb ports
dvd player / cd writer

I know nothing about laptops. I do know that those pocket sized removable hard-drives are something these college kids are carrying around with them these days.

If he's going far away.....buy him a calling card so he can call his mom :-)

Oh - and I hated every single watch I got.....
