I am extremely frustrated with the range of motion of my left arm. I am suppose to be doing these daily exercises 2 - 3 times a day but the pain is so intense I sometimes wonder how much is too much. When I was a professional in such things (ahem), I would have advised you to listen to your surgeon and go slow. Push to the point of some discomfort but not screaming pain. Also, try hot and cold to loosen up the tissue. Use an ice pack and a hot, wet towel alternating. It brings the blood to the area and feels really nice. Just check with your oncologist before you do it to make sure it's ok.
This is the most important time for you to get your ROM back. Keep at it and don't be discouraged because it will be so worth it in the end.
