The Good News -

Gillian -  AKA whoopseedaisy is finally going to make her appearance in Calgary.  Cousin_jill and I are picking her up at the airport this Friday evening.  I haven't seen this fab girl since my time in Taiwan so I'm more than a little excited - YAY!

Seriously - the MOST friendliest people live in my condo!  They greet you in the hallway, make smalltalk in the elevator, and invite you into their condos...?  Yup I've checked out my neighbors floors as they are laying down hardwood.  They even apologized if they were making too much noise!  So far I love living at Chocolate but the neighborhood ( Read more... )

I'm NEVER going to the dentist again!

I have 2 cavities...

I've never ever had cavities in my life...I know, poor me!  But I grew up going to the dentist regularly and was constantly praised for my teeth!  My dentist gave me teeth ego!!!  I'm happy to say though that I am covered but I'm not looking forward the the procedure.  I hate the local ( Read more... )

Apparently it takes 2 hours to get my teeth cleaned. Phase 1 was completed today and I've set up an appt. for for phase 2 next week. It seems going to the dentist has become a new found fear for me. When I was a child I would have regular check-ups and was constantly praised on how great my teeth were. It's a different song and dance now. I don't ( Read more... )

The weather has been nice in Calgary this week - high 30's some days. Everyone at the office is exasperated by the heat-wave but lucky for me the warmth doesn't affect me anymore.
