So...yes...I have been gone a very long time and terrible about posting. I say this every time I come back. I have not done srs arts in months, though I have done lots of doodling and played with lots of characters. There will be more posts forthcoming when I get more organized.
But, anyways, being in Japan I have seen a couple movies, mostly for fangirlish reasons (aka
Sakurai Sho and
Oguri Shun.) And because I am a fangirl, I had to make some terrible fanart.
sougo came with me to both of them because she is a fangirl, too.
Coincidentally, both movies were directed by Miike Takashi, who is kind of a whack job.
Anyways, the first movie was
Yatterman (though you really say it Yattaman), based on a popular Japanese kids' cartoon that somehow never got on the internet. The movie was kind of on crack.
Yattaman 2 and 1 are the heroes and also going out. They are, like, fifteen because it is a kids' show. Supposedly. In some ways, they are a darling couple.
In the movie, though, Yattaman 1 was kind of a jerk of a boyfriend. I forgave him because he is
Sakurai Sho, but I would have liked to see something like this happen.
This is only funny because it references one of the most hilarious parts of the movie.
Moving on, we come to the other movie,
Crows Zero II (warning, the link talks to you briefly), which was rather different. Mostly it was delinquent boys having fistfights. It was most excellent.
This is the main character, Genji. He thinks he is very tough, but I have seen Oguri Shun in
other roles, so he can't fool me. He was pretty cool in this, though.
This kid was so incredibly pretty, I don't know what he was doing in a delinquent school. I just kind of marveled at him every time he showed up on screen. I think his name was Tatsuya? I don't know, I was distracted. I also didn't do him justice.
sougo and I called this one "Fabulous Boy," even if his real name is Ryo. He is also his school's resident fighting nutcase, though they use the spiffier term of "berserker."
And because there is not enough Reborn in this post, the birthday pic I did for
sougo before we parted ways. (I am still working on the other birthday pics I owe...) She requested Gokudera and Mukuro, but I was on a Yattaman kick.
