What I Got

Aug 26, 2008 01:16

After taking the Landmark Forum Advanced Course, the world DEFINITELY comes in a different light. I take responsibility for everything in my world. "I am my word." Do you get it? I'm not sure if it's Landmark jargon.I'm very glad I took the Advanced Course. In Landmark Forum, I got a lot. I could make my problems disappear. I talked with my mom. ( Read more... )

-> "I am my word."
That doesn't sound like jargon, but it could mean a few different things. Do you mean "I have the integrity to be true to what I say"?

Also, can you explain your idea of "world peace"?

I'm going to be taking a three hour class about justice, war and peace each week; I think you and I will have some interesting conversations this semester, hehe. :B

More like "I have integrity to do what I say."

World peace = not having tension between countries making them jump to push the red button at one wrong move. Being able to say "this is where I want to go" and "this is how i/you can help" instead of "you're wrong." - is what I have so far. I'm still working out details. Oh, when I saw your class schedule on facebook, I thought the same :D

I think that means the same thing as what I said, but it's cool either way because I understand. XD

So basically you want countries to practice effective diplomacy?

I look forward to having some good discussions with ya!

Also, the title of your journal entry reminded me of this song, haha:

So Chris and I were testing out your 'that's just an excuse' response minus the smiley faces for cushion and we're lost as to how it's possible to say anything without it being an excuse.

Although I think a world masked in silence would be somewhat entertaining.

Amusing is your juxtaposition of a peaceful mood and a tossed around icon.

I'm glad you have a grip on your hopes and dreams now. That's very important.

Finally, it's good that you care about people now, but it might be good to remember that not everyone wants a solution to their problems. Chances are they know the solutions already, they just need to say what they're dealing with so get it out there and away from them. There's importance in listening as opposed to solving.

That said, I hope you have a great trip and we'll talk again relatively soon. @.@ Assuming I get internet hooked up.

Haha, I was reflecting on that too. I realized that when I stop making excuses, I have a lot less to say. It's very simple and clear. So instead of "Sorry. I'm late because my mom is not packed yet and she walks so slow and she doesn't care about my schedule at all.", "Sorry I'm late" is the non-excuse version.

A silent world would be interesting. Marlena went to a silent dance experiment last year, but I want to go and do it this year.

Amusing is my icon reflecting my conscience while I still feel peaceful.

I'm sorry if I came off as trying to solve your problems. I was trying to support you, not solve your problems for you.

Thank you! Good luck with moving! I'll call you/be online when I get back from LA and text you when I survive my flight to Boston. ^^ <3
