June 9th has bean declared Heterosexual Day in Yellowknife. A city council member justified this by saying that 'there are a lot of contributing heterosexuals in our community and they deserve to be recognized.'

Any thoughts?

sometimes I think that society's downfall is its collective lack of a sense of irony. It makes things trivial, boring and reductive. Examples like this are my own personal hell.

yeah, fucked up, eh? all because another counselor declared the day before as gay pride day... just in case those homos get too out of hand with their parades i guess. should have banned flannel, leather and sequins while they were at it. and poodles. all much too gay.
