Spoke to my dad yesterday about the CD (Ronen's debut album! Now available for $15 if you happen to run into me in person). We're working on the process to get said CD onto iTunes for online purchase, which also involves setting up an account with CDbaby. They want a profile, a list of similar artists and such. Well, I don't know what the queer community gets up to, but I hope they support your music on its own merits and not because you share a status. But then, I tend to take a dispassionate point of view toward these sorts of things… I try, anyway. Let's put it this way, I would hope my personal fondness for you wouldn't stop me from critiquing your album* if I disliked it. Doesn't that comfort you! :p ( ... )

The world is changing, but music will always still be music. The business will always be the business. As unfortunate as that is, you've already overcome so many obstacles in your life and grown and developed so much as a person, I fail to see how any of that will stop you from doing what you truly desire to do.

And for those of us who don't know your musical style and influences, where can we get samples of this?? =P

I love you. I love your honesty. I love who you are. And while I don't think simple honesty and being true to your identity should require bravery, the sad truth is that our culture makes those things really hard in a variety of ways - and so I would like to remind you that you're very brave.

And that as soon as your album is on iTunes, I will buy the shit out of it, and plaster is all over my internet so that all my friends will buy it too.
