Sure, some things happen that are out of your control, but you get to choose how you perceive and react to them.
Implying that "You have to do things you don't want to do" is completely innacurate. Tell me the situation that requires you to do something and I guarantee I can trace it back to a point in your life that you made the decision to consciously accept it into your life.
For example, if you have to work to support a family, somewhere along the way you chose to have the family.
