please think a positive thought towards virginia at 1:30 tomorrow, my boy is in the spelling bee! i am so proud :) he is so excited, and i am excited for him- and for a 7 year old, he rocks! the stinky thing is that the school bee pits 2nd graders (and he's one of the smallest, youngest of those) against 5th graders. this does not seem fair to me, ( Read more... )

awww.... how cute.

I was the school spelling bee champ in 8th grade... went to compete at the county level and came in 2nd place - lost on the word "aerator". I'm still not sure how to spell it.

oh that's a tough one... well, he lost on "cupboard," which is a word we really don't much use, so i don't think he knew what it meant... and the prounouncer said it like "cubbord," so of course he goes "c-u-b-b-...." oh well. he was a good sport about it :) and he looked so cute up there...
